Around the globe, Viskase is attempting to run businesses in an environmentally sustainable way, through both large and small efforts. In the last few years Viskase has upgraded the air treatment in the Beauvais/France plant, installed solar panels in the location in Asia, are shipping some products in Europe in reusable totes and combos, and continue to investigate ways to make all products and manufacturing operations more environmentally friendly.

Recognizing the use of non-biodegradable and non-recyclable Styrofoam contributes to up to 30% of landfill space, Viskase removed those products from the facility and equipped employees with more environmentally friendly options.
